Math & Science Teacher (4th-7th Grade)
Dates: August 21, 2025- June 10, 2026 (includes 5 paid training days in August)
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-4:30pm and every other Friday 10am-4pm are admin/professional days. (35 hours/week)
Salary- $20/hour

Job Description: The Math & Science Teacher facilitates math and science instruction/activities in the classroom for 6-10 students. Duties include, but not limited to:
- Create lesson plans and implement curriculum in classroom setting, using resources and materials to effectively teach lessons and concepts.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment, effectively address misbehavior.
- Grade and record assignments in online grading system.
- Complete quarterly report cards for students.
- Develop strategies and activities to keep students excited about learning and engaged throughout the day.
- Set up classroom with appropriate materials before children arrive
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Participate in other program activities, such as staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, field trips, etc.
- Maintain a positive relationship with parents and families via regular communication.
All Candidates should:
- Have a bachelor's degree in Education, Math, Science, or related field.
- Have an authentic relationship with Christ and model Christian speech and behavior
- Be punctual, committed, and team player
- Have experience working with children in a classroom environment
- Have an ability to develop positive relationships with children
- Be proficient with using classroom technology (chromebooks, ipads, projectors, document cameras)
RFCA Volunteer Opportunities:
Come and help us teach an elective or two during the 2025-26 school year! All opportunities begin with a mandatory orientation/training. All volunteers must undergo a background check. To apply for any volunteer position below, email [email protected] with the position you are interested in.
Art Teacher (1-3 hours/week for one school year)
Substitute Teacher (part of a group of subs who the Principal reaches out to when sub is needed)
Financial Literacy Teacher (1-3 hours/week for one semester)
Computer Science Teacher (1-3 hours/week for one semester)
Lunch or Recess Duty (one hour/day)
Dismissal Duty (3:45 - 4:15pm)
